Missy Daniels has announced EPIC's first tour, tentatively scheduled to be called "Road to the Gold," which will consist of an eight man, single elimination tournament that will take place over the course of four shows. The winner of the tournament will be crowned the first ever EPIC Heavyweight Champion. The first show will take place on Tuesday, June 31 at the Palace in Los Angeles, CA.

In other news, Missy Daniels was pleased with the performance of all of the wrestlers participating at Battle*Start, particularly Shea London and Kristy Matthews who surprised many critics with the impressiveness of their match. Missy is rumored to be in talks with a few more wrestlers who should be receiving try outs over the course of the next few shows. While no names have been confirmed as of press time, rumor has it that The Evil Masked Wrestler of VFS fame is one of those wrestlers. No word on if he will still be managed by The Evil Masked Manager, who has worked for Missy on two former occassions in VFS and BMW.

News regarding EPIC's starting roster and the date of the first official show

Reported by Jamie Chevelle

Monday June 16, 2003

Two weeks after her initial announcement regarding the formation of EPIC, Missy Daniels held a second press conference today regarding the promotion's starting roster and the date and location of the first show.

Missy has yet to sign any wrestlers to contracts, opting to offer tryouts for any interested wrestlers instead. This is to prevent the signing of any "dead weight" and to ensure that EPIC has the best roster possible.

Currently, EPIC plans to be a "touring" promotion, holding at least one show every two weeks, with the fifth and final show of the series being a supercard that will end the major feuds. This will be followed by a brief off period, allowing the wrestlers time to recharge and pursue other interests away from the ring.

The first show, Battle*Start, is set to be a stand alone exhibition card, allowing Missy to personally evaluate the talent in front a live crowd before offering any guaranteed contracts. The tentative start date for the promotion is Friday June 27 and the line up is as follows -

Main Event

Rick Stevens vs. Pete "The Sex Pistol" Sheridan

Damien Newcastle vs. Danger Boy

Kristy Matthews vs. Shea London

Post match concert by The Unholy

Daniels has said that she expects to attract several more workers before opening night, in the hopes of rounding out the card. She is also fairly confident that several workers will be signed to exclusive deals with EPIC by the end of the month.

When asked about titles, Missy said that several are on the way and they will more than likely be decided at the end of the first tour, which has yet to be named.

It's Official - Missy Daniels set to open new promotion of "EPIC" proportions

Reported by Jamie Chevelle

Monday June 2, 2003

After months of speculation, a statement was finally released earlier today regarding the formation of a new independent wrestling promotion based in southern California.

Spearheaded by long time wrestling promoter Missy Daniels, this new promotion will be known simply as EPIC. When asked, Missy described the fed as an "upscale, southern California based touring promotion." She also said that expansion was a possibility, but for the forseeable future, the shows will be run almost exclusively in area of the southern west coast.

While Daniels did not give any specific information regarding the starting roster or its size, several sites are reporting that she has struck deals with several So-Cal based wrestling schools, most notably Ramon Delgado's School of Hard Knocks. Reportedly, several of his top students are near graduation and are showing great promise. Rumor also has it that Missy is interested in a talent exchange with several of the smaller Mexican based lucha promotions, but that has yet to be confirmed.

We will be keeping a close eye on any further developments and will have more news as it becomes available.
